Wow, somebody was dyslexic when they put that fan back together...
I don't think the company could have screwed up that badly; if they're putting out fans that look like that, they probably have little to no quality control in the factory.

That's crazy! The fan is install flush mounted but the motor is completely out of the housing witch brings the blades closer to the floor. It appears to be a Hampton Bay Landmark. I have been able to see a sticker on the switch housing.

There is (or was) one of those in a gas station here locally... no idea how the fan company or the installer couldn't notice that. Incidentally, said fan is the third to hang in that spot in that gas station... the first was a white and brass Tara.

Looks like a cool store! I always enjoy seeing what other countries have to offer when it comes to fans. I like the outdoor setting with those brown Originals that is on the first page.
On that chrome hugger you posted, it looks like the motor is on the outside of the housing.

The motor looks like it's outside the housing on that chrome hugger. It's not a hugger, and the motor is outside the housing. The housing was put on upside down, either by the company (although how would they get it in the box?) or by an inept installer. Basically, instead of covering the motor, it covers the downrod and canopy instead.

Oh, I was referring to Jean's first link he posted on here; his links from the Italian online ceiling fan store.
I know the fan this topic is centered on is a downrod fan, and that the installer definitely didn't know what he was doing.

Who in the WORLD installs a fan like that?
I think the chrome hugger has to be a mistake as well.

My parents have a friend in Tampa, Florida who has a 5 blade fan with cane installed like that first picture. I always thought it was hillarious. I'll try to get pictures next time.
