Whoa that's the most beautiful Gyro fan I ever seen. Usually I hate Gyro ceiling fans but this one is WOW! The ceiling is also really nice. It have four blades and its polished brass!
Where did you see that? Is that you who took the picture?
I wonder if its antique because the antique ones were not made exactly like that. This one is like a cross between a antique one and a Today's one. So my guess would be that its a 1980s one. The blade shape are made much more like the ones of today. The antique ones had metal blades exactly like the portable fans use. The blades are so deeply pitched and pretty wide for a Gyro fan.

It have four blades and its polished brass! Good job there, Sparky. Where did you see that? Is that you who took the picture? No. That came off Flickr. It's in a restaurant in Chicago. www.flickr.com/photos/hotrodlincolnls/2334953837/I wonder if its antique because the antique ones were not made exactly like that. Talking out of your ass like this -- trying to create knowledge out of absolutely nothing -- is like trying to bleed a turnip. And it's equally uselss. That fan is a bona-fide antique, though the glass shades are new.

Pierce STOP analyzing everything that I'm writhing! You have to be able to make your own criticism and comments and NOT quoted all the time everything that others peoples are writing. You are taking everything TOO seriously!
I also think it moves a lot of air. I wonder if it rotates all around?

You are taking everything TOO seriously! This isn't "Punch buggy, no punchbacks". If you choose to post something publicly, you're responsible for it, and you're not at all immune from discussion/debate/critique thereof. If you don't want anything to be said about your thoughts, keep them in your head -- don't post them publicly (i.e. on the Internet, the world's most public place). You were wrong, and I corrected you. Move on.

I did not said anything wrong I justed wondered if it was antique or from the 1980s. It clearly not from today.
Pour qui tu te prends pour dire tout ca? Hen? Stop using weird words and expression and comparing them to other stupid thing.

Stop using weird words and expression and comparing them to other stupid thing. I'd be more inclined to take you seriously for thirty seconds if I could understand what you meant. And you'd be able to express yourself like a normal person if you weren't . . . Canada(n). So if you're going to be living amongst us, make a better effort to not sound like a drunk 3-year-old, will you?

Pierce, it was much worse a couple months ago before you started posting on here again.
I'm guessing the lights rotate with the fan?

We are assisting to another Breakdown of Pierce or what? I remember some of his post before I cammed. He have posted shocking things that Dan had to deleted. He still do it with putting flags everywhere. Not to menttion what he posted in the General section recently. So Jeremy if you know it, how old is this fan?

That fan is a bona-fide antique, though the glass shades are new. No, what he's doing is discussing the picture, which is why I posted it. And I suspect he's right. It looks more like late 70s/early 80s creations than an actual antique. Note where the blades mount.

You were wrong, and I corrected you. Move on. He didnt say anything wrong, he offered a theory. So far no concrete evidence has been provided to disprove that theory. But we're discussing it, which is, again, the point. But you have to play nice, Piercy.

Jean, I cant read French, and I'm not going to go through the trouble of having it translated online. So I'm going to ASSUME you're not cussing Pierce out in your native tongue, and preface the following statement on that: I'm very proud of how you're handling Pierce's . . . Pierceness. Pleanty of people would have been very offended, and went off, or cussed somebody out, or threw a tantrum of some kind. You responded maturely. Way to go, dude. If only I could teach you how to post eBay links correctly. Sigh.
