Okay, in my old house, I put a fan in there (well, my parents did; I am 16 and at the time, I was around 4). ANYWAY... It had 4 blades; white; 42 inches; had the slots (oval shape) on the bottom; had a black motor (even though it was a hugger and the hosing was white) and had the vents on the side. Also, I think it came from Builder's Square, but I am not sure. Maybe Home Quarters (NOT Home Depot).
Thanks!
EDIT: It looks like this one (http://ada19851985.proboards25.com/index.cgi?board=id&action=display&thread=1147405829), but doesn't have the integrated kit and was installed around 1994.

Never mind. It was something called a "cool breeze." Do you know who made them though?

Cool Breeze is the only brand name I know of for them. I've had several over the years. I still have this one here: If you want it I'll sell it! When I was very young, my dad put a 5 blade cane version of that fan in our dining room, with a 3 light kit. He bought it on sale at Prange Way. I would have much prefered something with GE vents, but I thought it was cool how slow this one started if you turned it on low. I gave that fan to a friend a few years ago.

Nah; I'm happy with my Strat; and plus, where would I put it? Thanks anyway though. I remember when I was around 4-5, we got 2 of these things (plus some other thing, but that's different); one went in the computer room- and has since long replaced FOUR times- the other went into my room. I loved mine; it was effiecent and was nondescript, which is not something I could say about today's models (Casablanca La Fleur? BLECH!). About the second; it got replaced 4 times. The first- after 10 years- with a Harbour Breeze Builder fan, the 2nd with another Builder, the 3rd with a Harbour Breeze Pulsar which lasted a record 2 weeks, and the 4th with a Hunter Silent(or Summer; can't remember) Breeze. Belive it or not; these last for a long while. Dan PS. Is that fan on the floor?

Yes it is.
Are you sure I cant convince you to buy it? Much cheaper than a new fan, and, as you stated, much more reliable.

Ok, well let me know if something changes, if you need another fan for any reason. I'd like to get rid of it
