this fan is in my great-grandmothers house. it has fake GE vents ( stamped pattern on motor housing, not real vents) and stencil blades. any ideas?

thanks dan. i never would have thought it was an evergo. it also makes a ticking noise on every speed. i think i should spray some wd40 in the motor. will that work?

WD40 isnt good for oiling fans. In fact it isnt even really oil. It's good for cleaning, but afterwords you have to oil liberally with real oil. DONT use 3-in-1. Any 10 or 20 wt non-detergent motor oil will work. The Zoom Spout oilers Hicks talks about are nice.

okay i went to lowes today and they didnt know what the heck zoom spout oiler was. what store sells it and in what department can i find it in?

I've bought them at True Value before. Each True Value is different so yours may vary.
