Here goes... everyone check out the boxed Blenderfans that "louismando" has posted in the VCF II Yahoo group. I've never seen one with an ornate housing before... anyone want to expound on that? Also I'm assuming the funky looking blades were handmade replacements?

That blenderfan is my newest fan acquisition. It has a sticker on top of one of the blades that says it was made by the Wynndyne Company in Richmond, Virginia. It is called "The Wynndyne Collection." They obviously bought all of their fans from Emerson, and then just "pimped" them out with the ornate canopy, wooden blades, motor decorations, and the integrated light kit. I pulled it from a house that is getting torn down this week. It was at an estate sale where all the house fixtures and furniture were for sale.

In case anyone doesnt know, here is the address to find the pictures being discussed: groups.yahoo.com/group/vintageceilingfansII/There are two Yahoo Groups associated with Vintage Ceiling Fans. This one (II) is for members to upload pictures of fans. The other one has the main gallery and email list. As for Louis' Blenderfan, it is extremely cool. It's not the first time I've heard of an ornate Blenderfan, but it's the first time I've seen one.
