Whoa! Has that kitchen with the brown spinner stood still in time?

An old picture? If that's current, it's pretty cool . . . but not hard to believe, if the home belonged to someone older.
What is the fan in the picture above it?

I don't know... it is pretty small and the pixel resolution isn't that great.

1) 5 blade Original 2) It'd be nice if we could actually SEE the fan... 3 and 4) Casablanca Stealths 5) Resolution not clear enough 6) Modern Hunters 7) Hunter Sojourn 8) Hunter Studio Series 9) Fasco Great Room 10) Could be a Great Room, but my first guess is a 5 blade Charleston. Strangely enough the blades don't slope upward as much as other Fascos 11) Resolution not clear enough 12) Lasko 13) Fascos, but resolution not clear enough to tell what model 14) Original.

8 is a Low Profile, although I think that "The Studio Series Flushmount" or something would have been a more appropriate title, due to how both fans resemble each other.

I like the earliest Low Profiles, what have the small (Comfort Breeze) switch housing.

The one in the dated looking kitchen looks like a Japanese Lasko based on the motor and blade holders.

The one with the Stealth's looks like a concrete dome house!

Regarding the Low profiles, yes. They also had the sticker like a Comfort Breeze. I LOVE/appreciate non Original Hunters from the 80's. A good fan all the way around, but low maintenance and cheaper then an Original. An Original is like a sports car... "here, let me buy something impractical, but I do have this emblem that shows how much money I spent on it"

There is nothing flashy or high-maintenance about an Original. Yes they require oiling, but with oil they will last forever, far longer than the K55 fan that is having bearing problems because it claims not to need oil . . . much less the spinner. And without fresh oil Hunter Originals still last forever.

"In my youth" I just had some bad experiences with Originals. And, those darn fans are what make people go gah-gah over the junk at the home centers because of the repuation of the Original.
I have also found that a Studio Series moves just as much air as an Original, but a Studio is quiter and runs smoother then an Original.
It's ok, I am not trying to bate you, we are just engaging in some friendly fan convo. If we all thought exactly the same, this place wouldn't be very fun...

Care to share your bad examples? And I dont follow the "home center junk" bit. &I have also found that a Studio Series moves just as much air as an Original, but a Studio is quiter and runs smoother then an Original. I find that hard to believe!
