Hello guys. My name is Steve (last name starts with S). I'm 17 and reside in CT, USA.
I was obsessed with ceiling fans pretty much from the age of 5 onward to 12 or so. I loved to take pictures of them, watch them, try to find new, odd models of them wherever I could, and at the age of 9, insisted on choosing the models of fans for the house that my family built (I ended up with three Coastal Breezes and a Summer Breeze - I have no idea if that's bad or not, but I was 9 so give me a break!).
Anyways, I seemed to have grown out of the obsession, but coming across your site while searching for a couple of fans for my office room (parents are too lazy and this room is too damned hot), I came across your site and it brought me back to the good old days when I was obsessed with these machines. I loved your photo gallery, it finally told me what exactly all these strange fans I used to see were (particuraly the Blenderfans - I fell in love with those as a kid, seeing them in a local produce store and Churches, and never found out who made them or where they could be bought).
Anyways, as obsessed as I was, I was 12 the last time I remember being so obsessed, and thus didn't really know much about models or companies, other than the big more "modern" ones, like Casablanca, Hunter, Emerson, and a few more. I have a huge bag FILLED with old Hunter and Casablanca catalogs that I used to collect from Home Depot's and Lowe's stores (I saw something here about the Hunter Infiniti model, the Casablanca Lady Delta models, etc. - I have so many catalogs with those and fans like the Inova, etc.). I'm not interested in selling, they have too much sentimental value, but I'm trying to give an idea as to my interest level at the time.
For collections, I don't have much, only a couple of cheap fans (one them a so-called "Spinner") that I used to put together and take apart as a kid for fun. I'm not currently interested in collecting, as being 17 I have other priorities and interests right now.
Anyways, now to the point. I don't know how many of you have been to Disney World, but judging by the pictures and such you guys talk about, you would LOVE it. Despite most of the older fans being replaced with newer Hunter outdoor models (Sea Airs?), they still have ALOT of older model fans. The Fasco's are very popular in one resort - the Grand Floridian - and come standard in almost every room (the Fasco Charleston is one fan I was obsessed with as well).
However, looking through your gallery, I didn't see the particular fan I took a picture of. This fan looks exactly like the Fasco model from your gallery - but with 5 blades instead of 4. Just for curiousity's sake, I'd like to know what it is. This particular fan and many others exactly like it reside in the Grand Floridian Resort at Disney World. There are also loads of Hunter Original 36" models and other odd fans there, if anyone ever visits. I apologize for the picture quality, it was taken a good 8-9 years ago - the fans are still there to my knowledge.

Just in case anyone cares, Cape Cod (MA) is also a GREAT place to find old fans like the ones in your pictures. They're literally everywhere.
