This is not the first time I had seen one of these particular fans. There is one that is painted green with speckling hanging in the upstairs of a local gag shop...that was one of the most surreal fans I'd ever seen...lol

When I saw that on Ebay last week, It took me back to the 80s. I remember these amongst the plethora of spinning display fans in Kmart. All it needs to accompany it is one of those fans with the clear blades, and maybe Supertramp playing in the backround, and a Horizon driving by. ;D

We had SMC similar to that hanging in my mom's bedroom, but it was white with brass (traditional SMC) brackets, and a 'regular' nose. I probably mentioned in earlier posts that that was the fan that sparked when I pulled the chain. In 1998, I got a Hunter to replace it.

Hey does it allow a light kit to fit on it since the cap is small. And that's the weirdest looking fan I've ever seen.

Its the same switch housing that older Lagunas used. So yes, it can still have a light (but I don't picture anything looking right on it ).

I thought those blades/holders looked fimilar, I had a set of those in polished brass. I have one of these, except mine has a regular switch housing, a brown motor, and regular blade brackets.
