who said its done? i want to add uplighting and a variable speed knob but dont have a small control and am working on ideas for the uplighting. -Sean

That is a lovely you've got there! How much did the fan cost and what brand is it. I wish I had that fan but with five-blades of course.

I bought it as a piece of crap at Salvation army for $10 and it had 42" Smc stencil blades and a three arm turtle fitter. it was white and bright brass but then i painted it hammered copper. the third pull is for on/off opperation. replaced the blades with walnut ones and put on horse shoe brackets. i have three ge vent antique brass fans that hold five blades but no blades if you are interested... -Sean (aka lik)

Hey Sean I'm very interested in the Antquie you have and I have a fan at home I can take the blades from. Hey big are the ge vents fans you have and is it close to celing type?

i have three and they have no use to me except trade. pretty sure there in working order but ill have to test them again. they can use downrod or the close to ceiling canopy. the current canopies are "tri-mount".
