Anyone have an idea of the brand? My thoughts are View Fan, but I can't be certain. I can provide more pics if asked. I should also mention that all of it is original except the downrod and the bottom finial.

It's either a Moss Tropical Breeze or a early View Fan.....

It's either a Moss Tropical Breeze or a early View Fan..... Do you know any of the information from the tags off hand from your Moss Tropical Breezes? I ask because this fan has only one tag, only saying that it is an AC current ceiling fan, similar to what View Fan did. So it narrows down to, a.) this fan had more tags at one time and is a Moss OR b.) it has all of the original tags and is a View Fan, are the only conclusions I can draw.

I'm studying both the Moss Tropical Breeze and a View Fan on my site, by the shape of the motor, it looks more like a View Fan. Moss and View Fan motors are slightly different, the outer ring of the motor where it goes up to the side part of the motor is different.....

I had the same thought, but I haven't seen a View Fan with a lower canopy before, but then again, you said early View Fan...
I am going to stick with the guess of View Fan for now.

Also forgot to mention, if it was a Moss Tropical Breeze, the blades would be bent up....

Well wait a second, in the Moss pics I noticed a piece under the lower canopy that looks like something that is under the lower canopy of my fan. Is it an oval shaped piece of cast metal that holds everything together on the Moss fans?
As for the blades, metal can easily be bent.

I was looking in a window of a store in a shopping center, and saw the same exact fan. It has the nut in the middle, which is white, unlike Moss, they are brass. The blades were striaght with some kind of design pressed in the metal. It think it's an early Summer Breeze. Look at the one in the gallery......

That is probably what it is. Thank you for your help.

Sean, this fan IS an early VIEW-FAN. I saw another fan like this without the nut and I saw the control for it. It was a view-fan wall control. Notice the four rivets on the blades and the position they're in. That means the fan is definitely view-fan.
