I often see names mentioned such as Canarm, Westinghouse, and a few others whose names have escaped my brain. What I'm curious to know is which manufacturer, if any, makes a notable better fan. I'd like to outfit my friends shop with four fans like a CP56, but there are many similar offerings from numerous companies that I don't even know which way to go

The original CP56 is gone. There is now a DC industrial instead. I have the catalogs but I can’t tell you how it performs in person. There could be some old ones left in stock and if there are I would recommend going with them. The new DC ones don't appear that expensive and probably are better but I cant say for sure. What I can tell you is NEVER NEVER NEVER go with Westinghouse! Those fans are so terrible. I know of one collector who bought one and returned it due to lack of air movement. They also renamed it the Jax and it got a bit weaker when they did that. Its not just the Industrial/Jax but every fan from them is terrible. My local sales rep doesn't even consider them a priority. If you can’t tell I loathe that brand. Unless you need lighting parts or light bulbs stay away. Older era Westinghouse wasn't as bad but its gotten worse. Kichler also has a decent fan called the Todo. Its a bit more expensive but really nice.

Envirofan Gold Line 160F-7 is by far the best industrial ceiling fan on the market.

In uae, the current best industrials in terms of different criteria goes as follows:
Speed: GFC (General fan company, made in pakistan) Durability and performance: KDK and panasonic Max air delivery for minimum powwr usage: orient
Other mentions: SMC K and KN series, excellent fan up to now despite many fans lowering their quality while keeping up in competitiom, SMC K and KN models stands above 90% of the competition
Thailand industrials: best in performance: dai to shi, sunwindy, anything owned by husan

old(pre-DC) Canarm CP56s are great fans for the money, on-par or slightly worse than a Silverline but much cheaper and more aesthetically pleasing IMO. They are plenty for a personal garage especially since 56" Gold lines are ~$200 EACH, adds up fast when you buy a handful of the plus a control, plus shipping. I also have no idea on how good the DC Canarms are, the blades kind of turn me off of them.
Westinghouses are garbage. Bronze Lines are okay if you just want cheap air movement Silverlines are good Canarms are good Gold Lines are the best
I mean, unless your friend plans on running the living daylights out of these fans, Bronze lines would be fine. If he is gonna run them hard, get something a bit more robust.

Almost every older industrials like, Nadair, Canarm (pre DC ones), 4 saisons, Banvil/Envirofan, etc. Westinghouse industrials are just straight up garbage.
Bronze lines are like the minimal for good air movement Silver lines are decent Canarms are also decent Gold & orange lines are the best but the gold line is truly the best industrial on the market except for being like 200 bux without control and shipping. The best industrials of all time are the good old 40 pound cast SMCs, too bad wilcorp never imported a 48 inch version.

I mean, I don't know what entails "running the living daylights" out of a fan, but this is Texas and it gets pretty hot and humid in the summers. They're going to get run on medium to high 9 hours a day, 5 days a week for at least 6 months of the year. They'll never be on 24/7. Addressing the fiscal standpoint: When you think about it, a mediocre drum fan from Home Depot or Lowes is at least $200, and moves a fraction of the air with considerably more noise, plus they take up precious floor space. So investing in a few Gold lines pays for itself in many ways. My 10' Essence cost me four times the price of 4 Gold lines (though I absolutely love it and would buy it again), so I think there's a good value to be had here.

If they are using them that much a better investment would pay off

I’ve seen TPI industrials at Walmart. They copy the envirofan bronze line

Does anyone have a Banvil Envirofan Silver Line from the early 2000s. I don’t care if it’s plug cord or wire just as long as it’s labelled Banvil Envirofan I will take it.

Yeah I would invest in Silverlines or better, I live in Canada and while I do run my fans pretty much all year, they are mostly on low/medium. I'm sure Canarms would do the trick too, I've seen some ran on full speed, non stop for years on end and still work fine. They are VERY common up here so I see alot of them, by far the most common industrial you'll run across.

I have 7 different videos of Canarm CP56 I have 2 different videos of TPI industrials (envirofan bronzeline copy)

Is there a performance benefit in curved vs straight blades? Are the curves behaving like the winglets on my BAF?

Is there a performance benefit in curved vs straight blades? Are the curves behaving like the winglets on my BAF? Curved blades disperse the air over a broader area. Straight blades disperse the air over a narrower area making them feel more powerful when you stand under them.
