So I recently picked up this 54chrol fan in excellent condition, but it doesn't have any remote control.
Can the fan be used without a remote control? I am not seeing any pull chains or anything on the fan itself?
Thank you for all the help

Thank you for all the help Any fan can be remote controlled , but if it’s a chain fan and u put a remote, it might spin slow if the chain broke off on low or medium, but u can go look in the fan and try to Hotwire the fan to high speed so it’ll spin normally if a remote gets installed Also can u describe what the fan looks like or maybe send a picture of it so I can know what it is

Thank you for your help The Center of Fans . Fan is exactly same as this one, but in white color: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUBCw7_AW_MI do not see any chain or anything hanging anywhere here is the actual model pictures, how can I hotwire it? Just want to learn about it before I install and learn I can't use it

Just want to learn about it before I install and learn I can't use it That ceiling fan is a Hampton bay Callaway II, it’s a remote controlled ceiling fan, you can find a remote at either Lowe’s or Home Depot or you could use a wall control like a lutron skylark wall control or lutron toggler wall control and remember, NO VARIABLE SPEED WALL CONTROLS OR YOUR FAN WILL HUM LOUDLY! hampton bay callaway II is not a pullchain fan

Thanks again The Center of Fans so quick question, how would I connect lutron skylark wall control with the fan, like how do I direct connect it? Also, I have a spare hunter ceiling fan remote can that work after some tinkering or it has to be Hampton Bay one? Thank you

Thank you That Hampton bay Calloway will work with your spare hunter remote if you were to use a lutron skylark wall control you’d have to replace your light switch and put the wall control, and it comes with a remote receiver like any other fan that’s not pullchain operated

Thanks again, I have this switch, can this be used? If not, can I completely remove and eliminate the receiver from the fan and just use this switch to operate the fan for light and speed? Really hoping to use the fan

Really hoping to use the fan If it’s a variable speed than no cuz it can cause the fan to hum if it’s a variable speed control, but if it is a fan control (which u can tell if u push the wall control down with clicks it’s meant for fans) since your fan has a light kit and that wall control is meant for fans without a light kit, than if u use that control with your fan than the light won’t work unfortunately.

Really hoping to use the fan Bottom switch turns on or off light fixture or fan and the slider will show what setting that is, so yeah, if you plan to install wall control you’d have to replace that with a wall control rated for fans that can have the fan and light controlled

Thanks for all your help, if I open up the receiver control, can I hotwire at the maximum speed using some capacitor?
Or if you can please recommend a switch that would work directly without a remote?

A ceiling fan with remote on 1 switch will work fine and you can wire the light to a switch and mount a tan to wall control if you want to as long as the switch to where your fan is gonna be has a 2 switch spot instead of 1

Thank you I’m not good with the wiring stuff, I never done stuff with fans plus I don’t collect fans and I’m probably gonna do bad doing electrical stuff cuz I’m only 15. Someone else can help you out on this one.
