Sad news, due to bankruptcy in luminance brands, Brands are gonna be done for , EMERSON IS ONE OF THEM!, We will miss Emerson ceiling fans being in stock cuz of this bad bankruptcy, There were very great Emerson ceiling fans and some even had K55s which makes me sad as I like K55 motor fans, and some newer Emersons were good cuz of them being showroom branded cuz I like showroom more than home center , First of all the Emerson name was dead, and now the fans are being AXED/DISCONTINUED, If u don’t believe me, look at the attachments below
R.I.P emerson 1895 - 2022

I’m curious to see how this turns out. I saw when Cole S. originally posted something a few days back and made my head go a lot of places. They are filing chapter 11 which is reorganization.
This is gonna be complex. Concord stick a fork in no one is gonna want them period.I didn’t even realize they still sold product.
Emerson or Kathy Ireland can’t drop ship anymore so take out all the online vendors. I’ve seen a few of the bigger fan sale sites out that they put a message stating that they filed bankruptcy. Which is smart. Some sites will keep all their product available and it’ll just be a giant mess. Here’s where it’s interesting if Luminance is in chapter 11 they could reorganize but of course it hurts their brand image and all. The Emerson name is no more per par of there buyout so there’s probably no one looking at them like if Hunter went bankrupt as there is no brand equity. Kathy Ireland brings an interesting part to the table they obviously have a deal with Luminance for there name being on the product and it’s fairly new so here’s where I wonder if they will be able to buy them out if they liquidate or get the designs to select fans and import from King of Fans certain models. Most likely I’m thinking it’ll be done completely but I could see something else happening. regardless it’s a shame. I feel like they could have become something good but obviously if a parent company is saddled with too much debt it’s not gonna work out.

I hope Emerson and concord are bought by some other company so their fans can be made again

I wasn't too crazy about some of their spinner motor stuff and I didn't like seeing the K55 go. But I will say I did respect their DC motor offerings, I felt like they had better DC motors than Casablanca, and I really liked that they kept the K55 heritage going by keeping the rubber flywheel with the DC motor and the K55 name. I was always confused on how Emerson Climate Control with the ceiling fans was sold off, so is Emerson motor division still in existence apart from the ceiling fans? And then you have Emerson Tool Company of St Louis which makes some other brands like Rigid but is separate too? Concord was odd to me some of their offerings were so 80s/90s, which in a way for us collectors was interesting, but I don't see how they sold many. Most people that are going to pay more for a showroom line fan want something modern and those that don't have a big preference will go with something home center like Hampton Bay/Harbor Breeze or home center Hunters. So Concord just seemed out of place in 2022. Yeah when you go to Hansen Wholesale you get a notice that all of the Luminance Brands are discontinued and have ceased operations.

Oh well. Their stuff has been trash for years. Not everything from Emerson is trash, the premium is good and The Midway is good and Carrera grande Good, better than home center fans! Emerson is also not made in China either!
