I was looking for Italian ceiling fans lately, and I found three particular ones that struck me.
1. One is called Orieme, who I know to be Italian, but has certain identical features to Relite Rapide MKII and Crompton. The blade shanks ae identical, but the blades themselves are shaped differently. The canopies are shaped like the ones on Crompton Greaves High Breeze and Singaporean Relite. The motor is strange, as it looks like a Venti motor. On the downrod, there is "Orieme" written
2. The next one, also called Orieme, is a perfect clone of Crompton Senorita in Pista White colour. The mounting bracket, is exactly like the one found on Relite Rapide MKII fans. Perhaps Crompton or English Relite used to supply mounting brackets together with the fan back in the day?
3. The last one is called "Polar Elicent". I am not sure if it is even the brand name, or the model, as I have seen Polar as a brand in India. The motor and blades are like the one on what in America is referred to as "Crompton Greaves Airmaster", and in England "Vent-Axia Hi Line", but the motor has a small cap at the bottom (similar to the Orieme and Crompton Senorita), probably for a light fixture. In fact it looks like a Solent (brand in New Zealand). The canopies, however are different.
In conclusion, I think Crompton made (and might still make) fans for various brands, including English Relite, O.Erre, Orieme, Solent, Airmaster, Vent-Axia, and Polar Elicent. I have arrived to this conclusion, because all these mentioned fans have at least one common feature with at least one other fan again in the same list. By the way, Orieme were sold in Malta at an appliance shop. Moreover, in the spare parts warehouse of this shop, were two Relite/Airmaster fans, which I was told were there for the past 20 years, when I recently purchased a washing machine part. Unfortunately the staff members did not know from where they had been purchased from, so I still do not know who imported Relite fans in Malta
Anyways, regarding the 3 fans I mentioned, could anybody help me identify them please?
Thanks.
