Have removed all apparent screws and nuts. Have tried twisting, lifting and turning. Not sure what the correct next move is. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You may just need to pull the motor housing off of the ceiling if you have removed those three nuts that secure that upper canopy to the plate. It might just be stuck because it is a tight fit. |

It's just stuck. If you removed all 3 nuts from the ceiling pan, all you can do is yank on it. |
