I will be receiving a new(1990s-2000s) Hampton bay ceiling fan, which supposedly has remote issues. If the fan actually has issues, what should I do?

I would part it out. Components in fans can be used in others, and useless pieces can be sold to other collectors who need it.

I say fix it as much as you can. If it still doesn’t work, sell it on eBay.

Parkman, I don’t know the model, but I can kinda describe it to you. Hopefully the fan has a sticker on it, and if it does, I can tell you the model.

The original owner replaced it with a six blade home decorators ceiling fan.

Just letting you know, the fan is paired with a fan-9t remote

I got the fan. Unfortunately, I could not identify it. Would you be able to post pictures? If not, could you describe the finish colors, the year of manufacture, and number of blades/lights. Currently I assume the fan is a Hampton Bay Redington, however not sure of the generation.

I probably can post pictures, but I don’t know how. Also, it is not a Redington. It has no remote, and a less regular look. More like a sphere.

It looks like a turn of the century arabesque, but Hampton bay. It also looks like an 897f
