I always thought it was intersting how some ceiling fans have reverse switches in places other than the switch housing, or that have other than the usual slide switches.
Does anyone know why Canadian ceiling fans tended to have reverse pull chains instead?
And what are some strange locations you've seen for reverse switches?
I know Lasko ceiling fans usually had the switch on top of the motor housing which is strange because most people don't think to look up there. Although top mount models like the Contemporary/3600L did had it on the bottom cover/switch housing.
My Fasco Great Room has it in one of the motor vents. It's hard to spot because it blends in with the foam material in the vents, but it is located in the vent right above the pull chain switch.

Xpelair whispair has the reverse switch on the wall switch itself.. and crompton parkinson V series has 3 terminals which can also be converted to reversable fan through wall control or adding the reverse switch on the shaft plate inside the canopy

Some fans do have reverse switch inside the light kit or the bottom dome. Take an example of a Stratos, early Ball and Ball Flush, Cirrus, Cirrus Short, Cirrus Flush, early Aurora, Antero, Avia to be specific
