Hello,
I recently installed a Hunter Symphony 3 blade 54” ceiling fan in my master bedroom. That said, I’m rather happy with the fan with one major exception which is the helicopter sound it makes when rotating counter clockwise - almost as though it’s slapping the air and creates a rhythmic effect. Coupled with the fact that I’m a light sleeper, I become almost fixated on this annoying sound. I’ve resorted to keeping the fan running in a clockwise direction which doesn’t produce this annoying helicopter effect. That works fine in the winter, not so much in the summer. I’ve contacted Hunter and even sent them a video file demonstrating this sound and was told this is normal operation. The fan blades are all tight and perfectly balanced. Is there anything that can be done to at least minimize this effect?
Thanks so much!

Fewer blades = more helicopter noise. Also it might help if you take a picture of the room.
