It's been quite some time since I've posted on here, for a variety of reasons. This year has certainly taken it's toll on me. I got laid off from work not long after the virus scare broke out earlier in the year. I was out of work for about 3 months, now I have returned. Everything seemed to settle down a little where I am for a month or so, now the last few weeks it seems to be spiraling out of control again.
Needing to find things to consume my mind so I don't go crazy, I have delved into a handful of ceiling fan projects which I will document on here.

I've been one of the few very lucky ones where my job has actually became more secure during the pandemic. We manufacture twist caps for glass jars and we have been so busy since the start of the pandemic that we've been getting double time after 40 hours since May and cannot keep printed metal on the floor for more than 48 hours before it gets stamped and shipped out. Its insane.
My fiancée works at Lowes and has kept steady work all through the pandemic too.

They were offering unlimited overtime to us throughout the last few weeks. I’ve been working from home since March. My wife’s worked from home from April to September buts been back at her office but i get the feeling will be home soon. Lowe’s and Home Depot have been insane you’d never know there was a pandemic. Granted they’ve gotten a ton of money out of me this year for my house. Since the pandemic I’ve become more of a fan of HD then Lowe’s as of late.

I've been busy too and doing a lot of overtime the last few weeks. It's been very busy at work, and I never had to work at home fortunately because I wouldn't like that at all. I'm so ready for this all to be over with and just go back to normalcy. At least I can still do pretty much everything I like to do though since about June.

Agreed I’ll leave my political opinions out but I cannot wait for normalcy to come back but with how it’s looking a locked down winter I think is here for all of us unless the election is turned. I hope the vaccine works for those who get it. Working from home has its pros and cons. I can go in the office once every three weeks but it’s just not worth it plus I save an hour a day of driving and don’t get tempted to buy lunch at the cafeteria. Plus no one is there to socialize with since everyone’s staying at hone as long as they can.
