Hello, I stumbled upon your site and am hoping for some help. I will also post in the forum if that is alright. I am no electrician and need some help. My fan won't turn the blades any more. I have replaced the capacitor. The mFds were the same but the drawing was reversed on the new one 3 and 6.5 mFd were switched on blue and yellow. My understanding is the colors are universal but should I go by the drawing or the colors? I tried both ways and neither turned the blades. The light kit still works. (note: in the photo I have removed the blades as I was going to replace fan but that will involve more work as the mounting kit is different so I am trying to repair.) Any ideas? I can hear the motor (I think) on the fan but it won't spin up (it can spin with a push but won't continue) Thank you for any help you can offer. Also - note to any other electrical newbies: capacitors hold a charge even when the power is off! Ouch Here is a photo of my fan, the new westinghouse capacitor and the original capacitor. Thanks again,
