For some reason I always thought GEC ceiling fans were British, like Relite. Are they actually an Indian brand? In other words, are GEC Everest fans made by the same GEC as GEC Goldline, Whispair, and Toofan?

GEC is defintely from the United Kingdom. Yes, it's the same GEC that offered all these models you mentioned as far as I know. Thier fans were mostly made in United Kingdom but they also had factories elsewhere such as India and possibly Singapore and Australia too.
