Dano pointed this out. But the Paramount XP is only $61.69 on eBay right now and $62.99 on Amazon. I think that's a really good price, as these are very good fans. I'm a little leery on spending on nonessentials right now, but I may still order one.
I'm honestly surprised so many of these are still available, they have to all be at least 10 years old by now.

It really is a beautiful fan in my opinion, and a ton of air when needed. I like it enough to have a spare if I don't hang another. Looks like the same seller on ebay and amazon, although a second amazon seller had them for 69.99 until a couple of days ago and it went back up to 99. 10+ quantity on ebay. I was hoping it dropped to $50. Anybody remember the cost of these new? I thought I read somewhere they were targeted towards the southern hemisphere market. Last night I was finally getting around to permanently wiring in my 2 mini originals over my basement workbench with an individual switch for each. They've been great for drying work as I'm refinishing a dining set.

Cole buy it I don’t think you’ll ever find one cheaper nib.
Dano, I heard the same thing before that they were targeted for like central/America I think they lasted globally longer than they did in the USA

Doing a search on here from old threads I saw one post saying around $140-150 but I'd think it had to be more than that. Nowhere near the $500 price those bronze finish ones are listed for though. lol
From what I remember at the time, Hunter's website had 3 lines of fans. The top level was Prestige Series which I think had the Original, 1886 and a few others possibly, and then two other series which I can't remember. The Paramount XP was either a Prestige Series or the one just below it.
It wasn't sold in home centers and was sold in lighting stores and on Farreys and Hansen Wholesale. From what I read it wasn't rated that highly as far as performance by Hansen and Farreys which seems strange.
There was another model in the lineup right next to it, the Belle Meade which was also high spec and supposed to be a great performer. It seems to be even rarer than the Paramount, I've never heard of anyone here owning one of those. Not sure why the Paramount XP was mainly toward central and Latin America though. Only thing I can think is maybe less air conditioned places there.
I also read a thread where someone said the Casablanca Ainsworth was very similar to the Paramount XP and possibly was the replacement for it in North America, not sure.

there is a youtube video on the belle mead, and he mentions the royal oak and grand lodge as sharing the belle mead's 210X15 spinner. I live in Belle Mead NJ, I'll have to look for one! If I remember the paramount has a 188X25 motor.

Cool, I hope you can find a Belle Meade, they are supposed to be really good. I can confirm now the Paramount XP was part of the Prestige Series. I just saw pictures on Google from an auction and it said that on the box. Interestingly the blades have a date of 2013 on the label so I guess they were making them a lot more recently than I thought. Also interesting, the box didn't have the Hunter logo, but the instructions had the current logo while the motor emblem has the older one. So apparently they never changed the fan itself over to the newer one. online.auctionnation.com/auction/5725/item/hunter-the-paramount-xp-ceiling-fan-model-23254-649181/

thanks, that's pretty cool, notice the box is all in spanish. Mine came in a plain brown box, I'm almost sure, I would have saved it otherwise.
