Very nice fan. I have one just like that, but the felt on my is black. I got it exactly a year ago to you posting this, the Saturday before Easter last year.
Yours sounds quiet at startup, mine buzzes quite a bit when it gets to speed. Also I need to service the oscillator on mine because it doesn't engage sometimes.

This one has got a slight buzz, I'll have to re-varnish the stator & speed coil.

I have a similar model (your's is MUCH nicer!) and it's missing the plastic knob that passes through the housing and turns the switch. Do you know of anywhere to source a replacement?
