Family member bought this house but hasn't moved in yet. I thought at first it is an Hunter original but it has a funky blade tip.

Given the wing-tip blades, that looks to be a 2000s Hunter Archive Original with the Adaptair blade irons. Those are pretty obscure; Adaptair and Reversair originals back in the 70s and 80s came with the normal square tip blades.

Since it's 4 blades it could be a Hotel Original without the light kit.

Local for sale, owner said he couldn't tell me the model but it is a casablanca he describes as top of the line. You know what model it is? I like the lights. Update, the owner replied that it is 38 years old but rarely used. It looks like a zephyr or Delta but I have trouble telling the difference from pictures I see.

I was thinking the Hotel Original was the only one with it.

That is a chrome Casablanca Zephyr.....you need to jump on that QUICK. Looks pretty minty too.

What is so special about it? It looks just like the delta II you guys mentioned were so common. What motor is in it? I do like the lights but the issue would be finding a small down rod to hang off a normal 8 ceiling.

It has a K55 motor in it which is the same style motor that Casablanca used to purchase from different manufacturers like Emerson. Then they came out with there own version the XLP-2000 in the mid 1990's?

I don't think anybody is beating his door down for it. It's been for sale a long time and he wants a lot of money. Maybe for $100, but $200 is a tough sale especially if he doesn't have the smaller down rods.

Just like the dusty rose pink finish and Ferrari red.

Yes, What you have here is a VERY Desirable chrome Casablanca Zephyr with a RARE CHROME K4 Light kit (the light kit alone makes it worth getting the fan). Anways, I would say that this fan is worth grabbing for $150. What I would do is point out that there is a bad chip on one of the blades and whatnot. Check if the slumber Quiet System in it works. If it does not, ask to drop down the price as well because replacing the electronics is a hassle. Anyways, the fan is definitely worth snagging between $100-$150. Now with the Downrod situation. I believe you can get any short downrod on ebay for a decent price. I would buy some higher end chrome paint and go over it to get a similar color. Since these short downrods are short, its barely noticable that you have painted it from far away once it is on the ceiling.

Hate to ask, but will he have any idea whether it has the slumber system? What are the features of it, I don't know myself other than reading on some links that a fan had it. What does it do? Thanks

If you wonder what the difference between the Zephyr, Delta, and Delta II are, here is a quick chart I have made for identification.

Thanks From what I see, it has the Slumber quiet system. Now to see if it is working or not, the guy would need to go and see if that variable speed knob changes the speed. If he turns it and it remains on high, then the system is broken.
