I don't know exactly, but I'm guessing the 2.0 has more torque to handle 5 blades with similar speed to the 4 blade configuration. Usually this type of motor has more torque when the number of poles is increased; I need to see if the 1.1A/2.0A Original stators are the same or different. Sounds like something to do when it gets warmer I'll open them up and post pictures. I found this link that gives the Max CFM ratings of the current version of the original in 4 vs. 5 blade configurations. I'm not sure I'd seen that before. "Cfm's (airflow) 5 blades - 7560, 4 blades - 8316" www.texasceilingfans.com/hunter-original.htmlThat's the pre-2017 test data before the DOE changed the CFM testing method; still interesting find though.

8316 is literally 7560*1.1.

For those who are interested in energy consumption, the small brown 38 inch original draws 1.5 amps on high and .8 amps on low, higher than it's plate 1.2 amps. This was verified on 2 Fluke meters.

Hello, are these "badge style" blades correct for my 6699G panama XLP in classic white? I had kept the second in the box to put in a smaller room later but I think 17 inch would be better. Thanks

"Badge Style" blades won't fit a Panama. You'll want to look for the "Standard Style" blades. The "Badge Style" blades get their name because they have a "Badge" on the blade that looks like it's not attached to anything, and the blade sits in between the actual blade bracket and the "Badge". The "Standard Style" blades have the standard three holes (in an almost triangular formation) at the rounded edge of the blade, whereas the "Badge Style" blades have four holes in the center of the rounded edge of the blade. The "Standard Style" blade brackets have the "Half-Moon" shape like your Panama's blade brackets have, as well a flatter part where they attach to the flywheel/rubber hub, whereas the "Badge Style" blade brackets are tapered where they attach to the flywheel/rubber hub, and are also tapered at where they attach to the top of each blade, with a rectangular shape. Hope this helps! -Vince

I found this out when I got my Panama back in 2011. The Casablanca dealer actually sold me Badge Style blades in the Dark Cherry finish, which were NOT available in Standard Series. I ended up having to take them back and exchange them for Mahogany Standard Series blades (which ended up better matching my bedroom furniture than the Dark Cherry blades). I didn't even figure that out until I had the fan up on the ceiling, so for 1 or 2 days, I had to deal without blades.
