Have a Casablanca Zephyr Light Fan. CB-1444T. DS10972. The brass that houses the light sockets are warped. Where can I find a light kit that will fit (4 light preferably) or can I replace the brass socket housings?
Thank in advance

Where can I find a light kit that will fit (4 light preferably) or can I replace the brass socket housings? Thank in advance John I assume you have a K4S Style light kit? Attachment DeletedOne that has turtle neck fitters and the light it snug close to the fan? If so, I believe what has happened is that bulbs exceeding the wattage limit of the light kit had been used by the previous owner of the fan, causing the pot metal to warp and melt like what has happened to you. Anyways, you have a few options. Since you fan is antique brass, you will most likely want to find a replacement Antique brass light kit. There have been a few K4S light kits ranging from prices between $20-$70 on ebay, so if you keep your eye out for them, you will be lucky to snag yourself one. They usually sell very quick. Another option is to buy a universal light kit and a Casablanca Switch cap. This will allow you to completely replace the whole light kit as a whole. It will not look as good as the original light you may have had on the Casablanca, but it does make a decent replacement. And the Third option is to replace the socket holders. This is a little bit harder though as it is harder to source these socket holders separately. I believe you could concoct some Switchless Leviton Sockets and attach 2 1/4" Uno fitters to them. This will be a little more expensive than the previous option but it will look amazing on your fan. Hope this helps, and good luck! - Brian

Hello Mike, You should be able to attach any "universal lightkit" to your casablanca zephyr as long as it does not have CFLs, which tend to kill the Intelitouch board that is in the motor housing. You need to unscrew the center nut on that switch cap of the fan, then screw in a light kit onto the switch cap. Wire up the light kit and then re-attach the switch cap onto the fan. If you want an OEM look, expect to pay a pretty penny. ebay offers a lot of different secondhand or maybe new old stock Casablanca ceiling fan light kits. Usually the K1, K4, K4S, and K5Ls are popular models. Same goes to the K1C light kit. But as mentioned, any universal light kit should work with your ceiling fan. Best of luck!

Thanks for the response. But it looks like the screws of the cap is contained on the cap and not at the sides of the cap. This is the reason why i’m having difficulty finding a light fixture replacement. Does the 4ks have the screws on the cap itself?

Thanks for the response. But it looks like the screws of the cap is contained on the cap and not at the sides of the cap. This is the reason why i’m having difficulty finding a light fixture replacement. Does the 4ks have the screws on the cap itself? You are correct on that. Some universal light kits can be a challenge to install, but something such as a "single globe fitter" or a "4 arm fitter that takes 2 1/4" side shades" as well as a 3 light turtle fitter will be workable on these casablanca fans. You can twist on the switch cap and there should be relatively ample room on the sides to screw the switch cap back onto the fan. This is the same for Bowl lights. What you want to avoid is any light kit that has a large sized "pan" on the top that spans the whole bowl. I hope the rudimentary chart attached below is explanatory. Casablanca's K4S replaces the WHOLE switch cap. Since it is a product that is also made by them, it is easier to work with and looks better on the fan.
