Hello ceiling fan experts! I have a (I believe) 1980's Casablanca Four Seasons fan in my house for a long time, but I can't get the fan to turn off. I have tried cycling through each of the fan modes, hitting reverse, etc, but cannot find a setting where I have the light on and the fan off. Any thoughts? Other things I've noticed: - If the power has been off for a long time, and I turn on the power, the fan is by default stopped and light on. After 5 or 10 minutes, the fan engages in low. - Fan modes: High & Low - Light switch: Will only control the light while on High Thanks for your help in advance! Attachment Deleted

The fan has an electronic board inside of it that controls the speeds, special programs, lighting, etc. It's essentially a microprocessor/mini computer inside the fan's housing. Your board and/or wall control may be on its last legs. You might consider either purchasing an Intelli-Touch3 conversion kit online from fixmycasablancafan.com that includes a new board and wall control, and is mostly plug-'n'-play. The other option would be to direct-wire the fan for single speed (search 'Casablanca Single Speed Conversion' on YouTube, and you'll see a video from our own Cole S. from Vintage Fans and More showing and explaining just how to do so), and use a standard fan and light slider wall control available at Home/Depot or Lowe's. These board frequently start showing issues after 25-30 years, so your issues are typical. Hope this helps and welcome to the forums as well! -Vincent
