During some kitchen renovations, our Hunter model 236736-001 was disconnected some of the internal wiring connections came loose, it has the push-in wiring connections on the reversing and speed switches... . Unfortunately, the original wiring diagram that came with the fan does not match the actual fan (no mention of reversing switch on diagram). Our fan has a reversing switch and a speed switch, and had a lighting kit attached. There is no remote nor provision for one. The problem is that the lighting kit wires have come loose, as well as the "L" and "1" wires from the speed switch. There are currently two "unused" push-in connections on the reversing switch. Can anyone offer advice or a source of information about what wire goes where? We tried contacting Hunter some weeks back, but they have not been able to provide a correct/matching wiring diagram. Thanks.

As far as the speed switch goes, L is the hot wire from the line, usually black.. 1 would be one of the windings inside the fan.. The light needs to be attached to a neutral (white) and typically a blue wire, or if no blue wire, a black wire..

Thanks, the main issue now is the reversing switch, it seems that the "1" terminal of the speed switch was connected to one of the terminals of the reversing switch, and the white wire from the light kit to another terminal on the reversing switch, it would seem. The "2" and "3" wires from the speed switch go directly to the motor winding, as you would expect, but the "1" wire is solid wire, stripped, suggesting that it should go to one of the push-in terminals on the reversing switch. The white wire from line power goes directly to a terminal on the reversing switch, so the is no place to connect the light kit white wire, except to one of the reversing switch terminals.
