Does anyone like vintage light fixtures? I have a few in my collection. My house also has a few older fixtures. The hallway has two square recessed lights with chrome trim.
The living room has two polished brass wall sconces. They have switches on them, but they're wired to a wall switch because they're too far up to reach- about 8 feet off the floor.
The bedrooms have round fixtures with round shades and they have round flourescent bulbs. One of them, the shade got broken so we got a replacement vintage one from Ace hardware for it.
The wall lantern outside the side door is interesting too, it has a grounded outlet on the bottom, with no cover! The outlet is only activated when the light is turned on. I actually do use the outlet sometimes to plug in my wet/dry shop vac to vacuum out the a/c drain line. It comes in handy because my shop vac has a very short cord and there are no wall outlets outside on that side of the house. I have seen outlets on bathroom light fixtures before, but not on outdoor fixtures.
There are also some bare bulb porcelain fixtures in the closets and in the attic. None of them have pull chains, they're all wall controlled. I've thought about getting some clip-on shades for the closet lights. I hear these fixtures are not really supposed to be used in closets, but older houses had them pretty often.

I also, like vintage light fixtures as well. There are a few recessed square ones in our house, all of the stairwells have them as well as the basement. There are a few vintage round light fixtures in our attic as well. I will have to take some pics. My great-grandparents have a vintage 50's fluorescent circline in their kitchen which I hope to get my hands on someday.
