So while it's not exactly a "fan", it is kind of a fan, but for Christmas this year, I got a Vornado MVH whole-room heater (black in color). I needed a heater for my office since it gets really cold in their in the winter. So far, I'm impressed... can't wait to take it to work with me

Glad you're enjoying it. I'm liking my VFan Jr.

I have multiple newer Vornado products. I've always wanted a heater but have never come across one at Goodwill, and the upper-end ones were too expensive for me to go out and buy one. Mine retails for $59, and is available in silver, black, white, or tan. I'd like a tan or silver one, but they have to be special ordered, so black will do fine. It has three distinct heat settings and REALLY pushes out heat on the highest setting. My only complaint is that, since it's a "lower-end" model, while it still features the same features as the "higher-end" models, it does NOT have a "Fan Only" mode, so it HAS to be used as heater. The design is close to the Vornado circulators. If ONLY Vornado made a "Classic" heater that's like their V FANS. They also made one years ago that looked like their "Traditions" oscillating desk fan (I have the fan version), but it's a heater. Would LOVE to find one of those one day, but they're VERY rare. My uncle has an older heater that he got from his dad. It's a tan model, and is from the early-to-mid 1990s. Works VERY well, and I've heard that the new ones work just as well. We shall see, as my office gets VERY VERY cold in the winter, being an all-wood room in a 1950s building.

That's weird it doesn't have a fan-only setting.
You have a Traditions desk fan? Those are really cool, I always liked those but they hardly ever come up on ebay. I have a Vornado catalog from 1998 or so and that's where I first saw them.
I used to have an antique Vornado Jr heater fan in gray, but it needed to be restored, and I didn't have the skill, so I gave it away on the AFCA forum.

I'd love to see the catalog, never knew catalogs existed for Vornado.
I got my Traditions on clearance in 2011 and it's NOS from 2008... got it for about $35 off of Vornado's website at the time... they reintroduced them for a very short time in the mid-2000s (2005-08 or so, never on Vornado's website), and mine is one of the last ones... they're not really made by Vornado, and unfortunately, are quite flimsy. But they are neat! They made a stand version too, which I'd love to find one day, and is 16".
The first time I ever saw one was at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. One of the gift kiosks had one.

I notice the brochure makes reference to the AFCA museum having been at the Vornado headquarters at the time. It has since been moved to Fanimation's headquarters.

Yup. I had the pleasure of visiting the AFCA Museum at Vornado in 2006 but it was just a small display as compared to the museum at Fanimation. I've visited Fanimation's facility three times: once in 2007 when Tom Frampton just had his collection spread throughout the HQ, once in 2009 when the museum first opened on one floor, and once in 2014 when the second level was being added, but I have yet to visit after what Dan Neuman has done with the museum and its second floor and all of the ceiling fan installations he's done. I really want to visit again! Tom's done a great job making the museum more enjoyable, family-friendly, and interactive than it ever was. From what I heard the new owners of Vornado that purchased the company in 2006 (the museum opened originally in 1997) didn't want a museum at their HQ, and it was either that the AFCA museum was no more or that someone volunteered to move the museum to their facility (which Tom did, and so Fanimation is now home to it).

Also an update: I had the heater running on the second setting tonight to burn off some of the "new heater" smell (which I think I was successful at doing)... it works pretty well and it stays on instead of cycling on and off but still regulates the temperature... I can't wait to take it to work with me.
