The 4 blade white 48 or 52" look the best IMO.

The 4 blade white 48 or 52" look the best IMO. I personally prefer the queer 48" fan proportionally, but most on this forum probably disagree with this sentiment, and the 52" original is the obvious choice considering that the 48" original has the 42" fan's motor. The 48" and 42" originals both have the lousy 10.5° blade pitch vs. the 15° blade pitch of the more common 52" original, of which moves more air than almost anything in that size class and even above it. The 48" and 42" originals are quite meager as far as airflow goes.

I think the late 70s/early 80s R&M original in chestnut brown, the 2nd century original series as a whole, and the 4/5 blade original in iron look the best. I also like the look of the archive original series, but I prefer the aforementioned three the most.

I like any 52" R&M that has the complete ornate kit, as well as the post-R&M 4-blade models in white and brass with wingtipped blades.
I agree with Noah on the 48" ones... I don't know what on earth Hunter was thinking with those. They're good eBay fodder, but don't move much more air than a builderfan IMO.

I don't know what on earth Hunter was thinking with those. They're good eBay fodder, but don't move much more air than a builderfan IMO. To make matters worse for that fan, if a 42" original only moved between about 2600 (post-2002) and around 3800 (pre-2002) CFMs on maximum speed, because of that pathetic 10.5° pitch, and the 48" original shares all components with the 42" original save for the blades, then the 48" original would move even less air than a builderfan, which averages about 5,000 CFM it seems. In addition, that was waaaaaaay too much money to spend in manufacturing costs for hunter when most newer fans doubled those fans' performance at a much lower manufacturing cost, and fit in more with today's theming. So hunter obviously wasn't moving very much of that product, and especially now more than ever, manufacturing of that model was simply inefficient. Even the post-2015 original is a little inefficient, but is "within reason". In my mind, however, even with the airflow boost, slightly different proportions (more stubby blade arms) and beneficial modifications made to the motor design, it is still too costly, other original models aside.

I like five blade American made Originals, I also like the Old R52 Originals, The weird Bulbous Switch housing Original looks nice. C bracket Originals look nice, the Archive, the Medallion Edition, the 2nd Century, Grapevine/oakleaf/etc. look nice! Well to me, I guess ALL Originals look nice! The only Originals I dislike are the 36" with Reverseair brackets, and those still look decent to me.
