The Bayport I had when I took the motor housing off ticked regardless disassembled when you spun it by hand. It may be different for other motors though probably depends on the individual unit.

My Beacon Hill ticked out of the box.. Took the housing off,, and the ticking stopped.. Turned out there was a nick in the housing of the motor,, and it caught on a piece of the dust cloth,, creating a tick each revolution.. Fixed that,, then a year or two later it developed a random tick,, that happens with or without the housing on,, whenever the motor is spinning.. Electrically or not..
I've always found the Bayport nice.. Are they more powerful than the Beacon Hill?

Sounds identical to what happened to mine.
They move a hair more air than the Beacon Hill like you can actually feel it. Either way awesome fans! I wish they all had plywood based blades instead of MDF.

Currently trying to determine what I want to do in life after completing 2 semesters in college and taking a year off, may change my major, may go for a certificate program in computers (was a psychology major in community college). Currently single, want a girlfriend, waiting for one to come into my life. 21 years old (just turned it), have a part-time job, always looking for future opportunities!

Now, 25 and married. Back in school working towards a Special Ed. certification. Life is dull at the moment with the amount of time these classes take up.

However i am struggling as i am job hunting for a different and better position Gained weight like crazy in early 2017, however I gained weight in 2016 like crazy. I think alot of it was stress over the wedding and moving along with transitioning out of college into the real world. I was running around like crazy and McDonalds/Wendy's were consistently being unwrapped... Needless to say after getting a minor case of food poisoning last week, I can't even stomach the thought of either of those places.

I am a 9th grade student (will be in 10th very soon) I go to a school for people with behavior issues that I still wanna stay at, so I don’t go to a normal school (which would be a public high school) cuz I just turned 15 last month
