I have a cream colored 1992 vintage HUNTER OUTDOOR FAN #25595 ... it has 4 blades that consist of fabric stretched over an aluminum frame and secured with Velcro strips. I have managed to break two of the aluminum frames and need to either replace them with original style or with solid blades that match in dimensions. The spacing of the two widest mounting holes is 4 3/8" ... and the spacing between the center hole and the other two is 3 1/8". Anybody able to help thanx ... ... ... <<<__ Fuzzy __>>>

That is a tough request, those blades are pretty hard to find.

Solid blades should be easy, although finding weather proof ones will be harder.

At this point, any blades that will fit will work. The screened porch where the fan was located has now been closed in and is a sun room ... it would be nice to come across those original blades, but really anything that fits will be fine.
thanks ... ... ...

Any screws of the appropriate thread and length will work. The existing screws will be the appropriate thread.

Yes the thread will work, but it's the length of the existing screws, they're not long enough since the blades on eBay have the rubber grommets. If there was a set on eBay that didn't have or need the rubber grommets, the existing screws will work just fine.

The screws for the outdoor frames arent the same length as for the plain blades. Nevertheless, they can be purchased and any hardware store, and a round head screw with a flat washer will work better than the screwed you linked on eBay.

Yes I do know for a fact they're not long enough, I've tried it before when I wanted to put wood blades on my Outdoor Original. I thought the plain blades without the rubber grommets were the same length as the screws used for the frames. That part I didn't check.
Yeah that could work too. I just figured it would be easier to get the actual Hunter screws. Either one would work though.

Blade-to-bracket screws are 10-32 thread (easy to find in any length). Bracket-to-motor screws are 12-24 thread (harder to find). You can use washers on the blade screws if the heads aren't big enough.
Hope this settles everything.

To change the subject slightly.. I would like to find a good source of fan screws myself.. I've yet to find a good source for fan screws.. I'm on the hunt for blade to motor screws for a Moss Heirloom Deluxe I have that's missing them... Home Depot and other sources like them may have the size you need in the hardware section where the machine screws are, but the heads are usually too big, or too small, or they are only the half round style, and most likely not in the finish that will look good.. Only luck I've had with Home Depot are the fan screws in the fan section, and the blade to motor screws they have by Westinghouse only works on a few fans I've come across needing screws.. So common hardware stores are not a very good source.. Has anyone tried Dans Fans or other sources?

Tried Fastenal, and they are just as bad as Home Depot.. I found great luck at a local Dans Fan City, Was able to take the motor with me into the place in the back are where they have drawers of screws of different sizes, and was able to match up screws..

Dont look in the drawers at Fastenal, they have to order them, but they get in the next day.
