What is your favorite interior of fast food restaurants? I like the Burger King here after they remodeled, the booths are really comfortable, and the color scheme is mellow, the floor has those tiles that look like wood. I did not like McDonald's after they remodeled, the booths are all very small, basically two hard chairs facing a table, and the only other seats they have are round tables with little footstool like cushions around them to sit on. It reminds me of a subway station. I think they did that so people wouldn't loiter around, because they also have a sign that says the maximum time you can stay is 45 minutes. They did add power outlets though for chargers, computers, etc.
I also like the Subway inteior, the colors are mellow, and even though they just have chairs and tables they are comfortable. The Wendy's interiors seem dated and the chairs are so small. I haven't been in one of the remodeled ones though, they look really modern.
Also, the other McDonald's here hasn't been remodeled since it was built in 1994, it has comfortable booths but for the tables the chairs are metal and feel light and cheap.
The newer Dairy Queen also has a cool interior, the booths are comfortable and they have different sizes. Plus they have the TV on mute so it isn't blaring away like other places.
I like how some newer restaurants have gotten away from fluorescent lights, like DQ and BK have recessed lights and pendants which to me is less harsh than the fluorescent. Just wish they would have more fans, Subway is the only one it seems that still has ceiling fans.

I like older restarants. As they are getting renovated they are loosing their personalities I feel McDonalds however still are somewhat neat and have some character to them renovated but BK's and Wendy's are going to contemporary. If a restaurant has a fan in it it gets a few more points!

Mcdonalds in malaysia, coz they install ceiling fans in almost all their branches there
In uae: Al barari the farm, there are hunter ospery ceiling fans outdoors and the surrounding garden is amazing
Yemeni mandi restaurants in general, they have very comfortable ground seating areas filled with cushions

To be honest, I don't care how many fans are in the restaurant, if any. For fast food joints, the best presentation of interior in my area comes from chipotle and del taco. The most poorly presented fast food joints are Carl's Jr (even though the food is good) and subway, all of those around me are rundown. The best presented full scale restaurant I have been to is called Maggianos, an Italian food establishment, and the worst presented full scale restaurant would have to be HomeTown Buffet; golden corral absolutely lays waste to them.

I would have to say pre-remodel Burger King. Especially with the atrium areas.

Interesting note on this
We went to a Wendy's tonight and it was a modern remodeled one. Been there before and it has an LCD fireplace and a big TV, but the TV I have not seen on.
But tonight they had the recessed lights and most of the flourescent lights off in the dining room and just the cylinder shape pendant lights were on.
I don't know why they did this but it made an interesting atmosphere for sure. Cozy in a way for a fast food place.

I've been to our new Taco Bell a few times and I like the interior. It has an industrial look, with concrete floors and corrugated metal on the front of the counter, etc. It has big round air vents in the ceiling (well no ceiling actually) and industrial lamps over the tables. And of course it has those interesting ceiling fans outside that I haven't been able to identify. It has three TVs also but I haven't seen them on. One odd thing is they always play country music, which doesn't fit with the atmosphere to me.
The old Taco Bell was the 80s/90s gray and pastel purple/pink/green and fake plants look.

If you're into cars or motorcycles at all, the interior of Quaker Steak & Lube is pretty cool. You'll find all of these race cars and motorcycles hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. And yes, with ceiling fans installed in many cases. The location I always go to has several Westinghouse Industrials in brushed nickel.

They just remodeled our Pizza Hut inside and repainted the outside. Before that it had never been redone inside and just the restrooms had been expanded/remodeled. But they have replaced the 70s tables and chairs with modern ones, added new carpet, and they replaced the brass lamps over the tables and booths with funky 70s looking ones with fancy light bulbs inside and added wall lanterns. The thing I didn't like was they replaced most of the classic red vinyl booths with tables. They only have booths along one wall now. They also got rid of the Wing Street high tables and chairs. They redid the buffet and salad bar also but just refaced the sides and tops, the other parts are original from the 70s. Oh and they took down most of the sports pennants and Pizza Hut licence plates from the walls, and fixed the TVs.

I've seen some videos of Subways and I guess they've started doing remodels of some of their locations. The new decor seems to have mostly grays and greens and lacks the earth tones and wood look of their mid 2000s decor. It also lacks the classic NYC map and brick wallpaper that goes back to their 80s/90s decor and was also in the mid 2000s decor. These Subways seem to have Kichler Basics ceiling fans in them, although from what I hear they have left the existing fans in other locations.
The Subways in my town AFAIK don't have this decor, but the one to the south of me was in a shopping center that remodeled, so I'm pretty sure it has this new decor inside. But I haven't eaten there in several years.

I like how McDonald’s is designed cuz of the light fixtures and stuff there and the techno of how it is designed! And I also like how the Sheetz Restaurant parts are designed too cuz they usually have cool light fixtures, I do like subway interior cuz they have Fans!
I’d say my favorite restaurant designs is McDonald’s! It’s just so good! And I like eating down at McDonald’s too and I like some of the happy meal toys they produce too!

LOL I loved McDonald's happy meals when I was a kid. I still like the breakfasts though.
Not a big fan of McD's newer interior designs though, I find the seats uncomfortable. Haven't eaten inside one in a couple of years. The lighting they have is kind of cool though I agree on that.

True, when I sit at the seats at McDonald’s it’s not comfortable, my middle body can get sore from sitting on uncomfortable spaces for time (plastic school chairs is a good example too), but I still get McDonald’s happy meals (if the toys are good) but I still like to eat McDonald’s now and then at the restaurant!
