So I came home with some stuff this time.. The Moss Heirloom Deluxe.. Emerson CC blades, and blades that look to have gone to a 1986 + Hunter Original.. Also the small Synlix at the Delray Habitat... Managed to get the dent out of the Moss Heirloom Deluxe.. Fan is in beautiful shape.. I just need to find motor mounting screws for the blades.. Looks like it was shipped due to the fact when I opened the motor housing up packing noodles were inside the housing, and may be the cause of the damage..

Very nice Moss! There was a pretty good selection there
What a bizarre desk fan with the plastic guard and skinny blades.. Any chance you could get a video of it running next time you're there (if its still present)?

I might as well not even post anything I find anymore.. Seems like new fans get more attention... Oh well I going to put an end to my collecting anyways.. I just don't have the room anymore..
I'd rather not Jordan, then I'll want to buy it.. And I don't have the room for it..

Don't be like that. I mean, I look at your stuff. You're the one that wanted to make me start fan collecting

I always enjoy the old fans you post.. Unfortunately it does seem like a lot of the younger collectors are drawn to cheaper fans, the videos I post of cheap fans always get more views than those of quality fans which is annoying, But you should collect and post what you enjoy and not worry about that
Not a problem about the video

It's seems more and more people want to see new fans that are coming out and have less and less idea about older fans. You present them that and it means nothing to them. I remember when I got my Craftmade Decorative in 2007. At that time it was seen as horrible and outrageous and now people buy the latest ugly creations that barely looks like a ceiling fan and that is interesting.

Oh noes. I have a great interest in new high end fans, but my roots are in vintage fans. I absolutely ADORE that Heirloom, and I love pretty much everything you find because it's always vintage goodness and often vintage WEIRDNESS which is even better.
There's such an air of dismay around here. It's unfortunate to dig around on the forums for the first time in awhile and finding discontent.

I might as well not even post anything I find anymore.. Seems like new fans get more attention... That would be a shame Adam. Most of us love what you find (myself included). There will always be newer fans posted (with threads regarding new lighting showroom models and such). However, vintage fans will never be forgotten among us here at VCF!

It's not as fun as it used to be to collect vintage ceiling fans plus also a few of us has reached a point where they have to slow down a lot. In my case I can say I found most of the fans I was looking for.

It's not as fun as it used to be to collect vintage ceiling fans. It depends. A positive is that there always will be a new generation of fan collectors to pickup where the previous one left off. Sure, there will be transitions, however interest in vintage ceiling fans will not disappear. In essence, the hobby will remain.

I've reached that point.. I'm going to have to stop going to Habitats.. I just can't resist... I have no room for anything anymore, and on top of that more is coming in that I want to get rid of.. I have three storage units and I'm trying to get rid of enough to have the one big unit... It's gotta stop..

Well. I just hope the site doesn't come down soon. It's still a huge place for fan collectors.

I have nearly liquidated my entire collection except for a few select fans I either currently use or plan on using down the road sometime. Doesn't mean I'm any less interested in them, but I'd much rather see them back in use than taking up space in my house for no reason. I am in my mid 30's and am well beyond the "collecting" phase.
Maybe one or more of the new generation would like to start a site focused more on the newer fans? I likewise have no idea why the most "excitement" on the forum as of late has been page after page about the Grayton, one of the cheapest fans in existence.
