I have a nutone pfd-52 and the fan will not run. I was trying to take it down and cannot figure out how to get it down. There are no screws that attach the canopy/cup to the bracket like most newer fans. There is a canopy/cup but I see no screws. HOW DO I GET IT DOWN???
THANKS!

The Canopy is screwed by a hex key screw.. You'll need an allen key to set unscrew.. You can get a set cheap at Home Depot or Harbor Freight..

that nutone is indeed one of those old bell canopies kind(most likely a squared blade arms kind)

They are correct, it's on the collar of the canopy. Are you interested in selling your fan?
