Personally I wouldnt pay more than $20. That is the most basic version, non ornate with plastic blades. I might pay up to $50 for an ornate and/or cane one.

eBay will give you somewhat of an idea as to what people will pay for it. See what's listed there and slightly below the average is about what they're worth. These are nice fans, but they're common, so they're not worth too much.

I don't know where you got $400 from, but you're certainly not going to get $150 for this.. it's simply not worth that much.

I disagree with Jordan-- speaking as both a seller and a buyer, items fetch much higher prices on eBay than they do on Craigslist or in any other local sale (thrift store, garage sale, etc).

Much below the average probably would have been a better description. The prices really have become rather outrageous on eBay...

Also, there's the difference in what something is worth and what you'll get for it. I would argue that the Fasco is worth about $50 and you might get that on eBay. You wont get that on Craigslist and I myself wouldnt pay it.

(and by the time you're done with eBay fees, PayPal fees, and buying packing materials, you're left with closer to $20. Why I dont sell on eBay much any more)

Actually eBay only charges 10% of what the item sells for, and I don't think paypal takes anything out of it.. If they sold it on eBay for $50, they most likely will get around $45...

eBay also charges fees on shipping, so unless you inflate your shipping charges, you lose money there. PayPal charges 3%. If you dont keep packing materials around, you can easily spend another $10-20 getting a fan packed.

I recently sold Hunter blades on eBay for $49.99.. eBay only took $5 or $6 dollars out of the $49.99 which showed up on my PP statement towards the end of the month.. I have PP premium, so I may not get charged a PP fee..
Typically ceiling fans are worth about $20, depending on what you have and how many people are after it, will determine the price.. Only a handful of people in this world who are interested in ceiling fans to collect.. Someone may have a ceiling fan desired by a few, and the price may go up on that certain fan, but if you have 10 of the same ceiling fan and 5 people who are willing to pay $100 for it, than you may get lucky, but once those 5 have what they want, than the rest will either sell for real cheap of won't sell at all.. I think most people have at least one of those in their collection, so $20 sounds about right.. There's one of those on my local Craigslist that been sitting on there and relisted for at least 6 months now.. If anyone offers $20.. I'd take it..
