sent them an email "i was wondering, i have a hunter original ceiling fan that im looking to strip and paint. one problem is there are some electrical components that can not be removed and a info tag i wouldn't want to get damaged. would you have a way as to covering certain parts from sand blasting and powder coating? i can send pic with details if you need more info, and im going to possibly stop in this weekend with the parts to see what the best route would be, thanks mark
picture show the motor with the tag, inside the motor there are electrical winding that are welded to the housing.
if powder coating can be done im gonna be going for a black and chrome or a black and silver finish on this fan. do you have the supply's to do so?
black: down rod, motor housing and the switch housing. chrome / silver : upper canopy, motor face plate, blade arms, pull chain connector and switch cap.
all of these item listed above are metal"
hopefully i find out what these guys can do for me

lol its long gona now sadly, good luck finding an extra one. they seem to be kinda hard to find So I've noticed, I looked on eBay and couldn't find a single Original canopy! The whole deal with the canopy is kind of sketchy. Even though there were four fans for sale, the description said the lot includes three mounting brackets (they weren't called that though, they were given some strange name like 'ceiling hangers' or something) and three slotted canopies, which I assume he's referring to the kind with the long slot in it for sloped ceiling installation. Neither of those things were pictured, but I specifically requested that one of each be sent to me when I made my offer so its in writing that those are supposed to be included; just in case I don't recieve them and need to file a complaint. But we'll see, as long as the bracket comes in that's the biggest part, if the canopy is not the original one, or not there at all, fan is still 100% usable until I can find one. I imagine the sloped ceiling canopy can be rigged to be mounted on a flat ceiling if that's what it comes with.

Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deletedlooks like lead or something is used to hold the stator in the fan? :/ if i cant get it out looks like ill have to paint the black (motor housing, down rod and switch housing) with spray paint and get the rest sand blasted and powder coated in chrome (canopy, face plate, brackets, switch cap and pull chain screw nut) which i guess would still look ok. any thoughts?

not worrying about the stator. going to sand blast and powder coat only the the chrome parts of the fan (canopy, face plate, switch cap, blade brackets and the pull chain nut). ill be spray painting the black parts here at home (motor housing, switch housing and the blades). rustoleum most likely will be what ill get, anyone got a suggestion as to the type of spray paint or a better brand to use? thanks

As far as I know you can't remove the stator in a R&M Original.

Looks good, but you should remove the downrod and paint it separately.
