Both very nice pieces! Out of curiosity, what did they say when they called you regarding the warranty card?

That they'd be unable to warrant the fan due to its age, regardless of the fact it was NIB...which is fine, because the construction quality means it's more reliable than any new-new one I could buy from them today. One good thing about Gulf Coast, they have a ton of spare parts even for these old units. I had to buy a replacement pull-chain switch for it after I briefly went Tarzan on the old one. It was some weird double-stack model with a unique internal shunting pattern because these Synlix fans have a transformer. I was able to order the part on Dan's Fan City's website no problem, no delay. www.dansfancity.com/techhelp/parts/switches.htmI'm surprised they responded at all. Between that and the fact they sell replacement parts, I'd say they're a company I'd buy from.

They're interested in the older stuff to a degree.
