I have a 38 inch Fasco parlor fan from 1980, that I acquired in a group of Fasco fans. None of the fans had downrods, just very long pipes.
These fans were near mint when taken down it seems, since the stack motors and fan interiors are so clean and bearings in such amazing shape, but were stored in a barn by the seller and subject to manure and moisture. They were stacked an mishandeld so near perfect finishes were scuffed and scratched somewhat.
Anyway it needs a downrod, I measured it and it seems that would 3/4 inch work? Right?
It had a bent blade arm, but I straightened it out.
Also, 2 blades are warped.
Would it work to steam a blade with my hand held steamer and immediately put it between 2 pieces of wood and clamp them together with a vice?
What do you all think?
Thanks, Matt

1/2" black iron pipe works well. Or any 1/2" threaded downrod.
I wouldnt use steam on an already warped blade.

Thanks for the tip Dan, I just cut a pipe, just need to drill a hole for the Lowe's ceiling fan mount ball pin and mounting bracket that is available. I have the original canopy.
My neighbor suggested soaking the blades and then using weight to straighten them What do you think?

Place the blades on a flat surface, then place a cinder block or similarly heavy flat object onto the blades (with a rag covering the blade, as to avoid scratches). Leave them like this for a few weeks.
