My neighbor had a bunch of fans in his shed and he let me have them under 2 conditions: That I give him my 36" 2012 Harbor Breeze Ceiling fan and install it in his shed, and take all the fans out of the shed (no refusals). I gladly obliged ! Here are the fans I acquired today. Fasco parlourfan with plastic blades. You can see where the characteristic parlourfan blade badges were, but someone removed them. I think this fan was outside for a number of years. It also has a paper tag, but no Fasco name plate. The switch cap has the Fasco logo. Great finds on the Emersons, and the Fasco.. Emerson Friction drive fan is probably just seized up..

What a great deal! Does your neighbor like fans as well? Seems odd a non-collector would have so many decent units.
Just out of curiosity, what was the name of the fan that you put in the shed? I can't think of any 36" HB fans at the moment.

www.lowes.com/pd_76253-93591-00805_0__?productId=3316974This piece of junk, actually looks nice and moves alot of air, at only one year old bearings were making noise on high, this fellow didn't care, just wanted a working fan for the shed. He has some old unused offices, and saves everything. These fans were taken out of his house in the 1990s, one was installed in the shed and the rest were put in storage. He actually likes the harbor breeze better since it is smaller and does not hang as low as the Emerson. By the way does anyone know what kind of fan the white / brass ornate one is? It has a rubber flywheel mounted to a spinner motor

Looking at the motor coupler and tag of the ornate fan, it appears to be a Regency of some variant, or at least from the same factory.

BTW oddly the Fasco Parlorfan was made by Marley Engineered Products according to the UL listing, which isn't surprising since Marley sold Fasco's products. I'd be interested in it if you ever get rid of it!

Marley bought Fasco's fan division in the 90s, so all the UL numbers would transfer to them.

Got this one a long time ago, before I joined the board, but finally got a chance to install it. It is in my utility room, across the carport from the main house. I plan to install its evil twin (black and nickel) in the adjacent gardening room at a later date. R&M Hunter 36" original from 1980, tipped blades and bell canopy, enjoy! whitehunterbell 004 by perfectjazz78, on Flickr whitehunterbell 004 by perfectjazz78, on Flickr whitehunterbell 003 by perfectjazz78, on Flickr whitehunterbell 002 by perfectjazz78, on Flickr whitehunterbell 001 by perfectjazz78, on Flickr

the squeaky fan being seized up non working when motor hums could be a small cooling fanin the motor make contact with other parts such as big friction hub, hope you can try to fix it too.
