It finally came today! Box, instruction, documentation etc.: There is one problem, and that is the bearings. They are very dry and LOUD! I need to take it apart and stuff them with grease, or at least oil them. Can anyone explain or show me how to do this? I took off the bolts around the motor and nothing came loose, so I put it back together for now, I spent a lot of money on this and don't want to mess it up. Here's what the bearings sound like; ignore anything I say in the video, its part of a larger video I made about the fan but just cut out this part to show the noise. youtu.be/PnvXT4x3QbY(BTW First video on YouTube!!) I will make a much more detailed video showing it being installed, as well as it in operation, the control etc. as well as more pictures when I get the bearing sound taken care of.

Does it make the same noise with the blades attached? It's a little different with the blades on, more of a grinding sound than just metal, much louder too, almost like there's rocks being tossed around in it. I can post the sound it makes with the blades on when I get home.

No need, it just means the blades are amplifying the noise.
Top bearing is easy to oil, the bottom bearing, you basically fill the housing with oil and WD40 and hope it reaches there. Either that or you open it up, in which case you're better off replacing them, but I would be VERY careful opening these. The lead wires break. The housing bends. Etc.

In that case, I'm going to go after the good old WD-40 as a first try---I really don't want lead wires and such breaking on me. I've only opened one spinner motor, my Northman spinner. It was pretty painless, but the housing seemed to be made of something much thicker than this is. Have you had first-hand experience opening the motors on these things before?

Glad you made the first video! Have you checked out my videos? Probably, I've been watching YouTube for years even though I didn't have an account.

Nice fan, that's too bad about the noise, I hope you can get it worked out without too much of a hassle.

Nice! I remember seeing one of those in a fishing gear store when we went on a vacation to the beach, except it was white. Hope you can fix the noise!

It's really not, at most it will need new bearings for a few dollars and it will be good as new.
