Well, she arrived, and she's installed... box is dated 2002 so it's a bit newer than the one I had in my bedroom, which was dated 2001... it may be one of the last ones they made, a gold sticker at the top of the motor mounting plate just has 11 03 printed on it so maybe November 2003? Can someone help me out here?

The date on the box sounds like the copyright date...

The date on the box sounds like the copyright date... Yes which is newer than the one I once had. It has the "Hook-and-Loop" style mounting, or "Dog Leg"-style mounting... same as the 90s LP's. The owner's manual is dated 1995.

I've seen Hunter with "14 03" on the sticker, which tells me it doesn't really indicate the month.

Without further ado: I added the pull chain pendant from what I had lying around. Very nice, this is the first one of the older style that I've seen in 5 blades. Has a much more modern look to it with the 5 blades and the rounded tips, but I like it!

They introduced these, I think, in the late 1990s with square-tipped blades... the first time I ever saw one was an antique brass one with square-tipped blades and the Low Profile globe light kit... then I got one in 2001 that was exactly like this one... this is the second childhood fan I've obtained, in fact, here's a pic of the other Low Profile I got, which was the first ceiling fan I ever owned, and was left behind in our old house we moved out of in 2001, now I got this one on trade from Dan for something I had that he wanted, and I couldn't be happier! It would've been too small for my bedroom I have now anyways.

It wasn't 52"? I thought they all were until they came out with the more recent versions.

I don't ever recall these with round tipped blades.. But I know this style with five blades came out in the late 1980s, or very early 90s, with the plain flat ended blades..
