My speed control box is not working in all the speeds. I would like to replace it if possible or can any one tell me how to fix it? This fan was installed prior to my buying the house. Now it only works in one direction with one speed. Please help!

Just replace it with a 4 speed wall control from Lowes, Home Depot, etc.
PROVIDED that the reverse feature is not in the wall box. Is it?

How can I tell that. I took the cover off and all I see is the copper wires and other stuff. I went to home depot and they dont have it but I will try Lowe's.

I would turn the dial the switch to number four. The front dial has five number's on it The first is off, 2 is fast, 3 slow, four fast reverse and five slow reverse.

By what it sounds like, the control was probably already broken to begin with. As for finding a replacement, I would try Ebay. New old stock controllers like this one pop up on there from time-to-time.

Are you sure it was reversible via the control? I've NEVER seen that in the US (on SMCs). Does the fan have a light?

Attachment Deleted Here is a picture of my fan. The main company is in Hong Kong, with three companies that are in the U.S.A but when I looked them up, the companies were tagged inactive. I tried to contact the main company so far no response.
