another one from someone who emailed me from the website.. It's a chrome model that's older than the one that I traded years ago.. Better than the one Ryan got off me for homemade ceiling fans. The top part of blades have been painted.. Has the cardboard box variable speed control. Was purchased in 1980.. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Wow beautiful, the finish is in good condition. I love how it never had a light kit. Notice the switch cap screw.

I am so in love with that! LOVE chrome on a Zephyr, and the slide-up canopy just makes this so much more perfect.

I just noticed the reversing switch is in one of the vents rather than being on the switch housing.

MOST of them have the reverse switch in the vents, but some later ones have it in the switch housing.
Putting the reverse switch in the vents make SO MUCH MORE SENSE TO ME.

I always thought that with Casablanca, K63 = reverse switch in the motor housing; K55 = reverse switch on the switch housing. Not sure I've seen an exception to either.

There were no K55's with the motor housing switch. There were some K63 with the switch housing switch. There were also some K55 with the cardboard box control.

And she arrived this morning.. Marked with the date of 5-80.. Blades flip side with the original finish.. Looks like these blades were painted twice, first being white This thing is in MINT condition other than the blades.. Thanks to the old one I had in the salvage yard gallery that I got this one.. He offered me just the blade holders for the one in the gallery and was going to scrap the rest.. After I told him I don't have that anymore and I'll take the hole fan.. I just paid shipping.. Now I have to find a way to refinish the blades.. I was able to get the paint off with paint stripper, but some of the finish came off too.. I've had no luck with refinishing anything.. When it dries I get clear whitish marks everywhere.. I may have someone do it, or maybe do myself if I can get it to come out right.. I think there are plenty of liquid removers to remove old varnish.. Which means no sanding is needed..

Looks great! I'd love to see white cane blades on that fan!
