This fan was much cooler in person. It's built like an early 80s import, unlike most GEV Evergos.

What ever the case may be, but this is still my favorite.. And has more of an early 80s "Chunkiness" to it than all in my collection or I've recently seen that has five blades.. That Codep/Antica that I recently posted in another thread probably doesn't even beat this.. This version of the Moss Heirloom Deluxe falls in second place Then comes the Evergo..

You know, I do remember seeing one of these on display at my local K-Mart circa 1986. It and an AB SMC A52 were in front and had 5L kits. So one of my childhood mysteries was solved.

I think my grandma's old Wards Evergo 4B GEV had the canopy shown in the second pic, a mini bell canopy. That's what I'd put on your 5B Evergo GEV, Adam.

It's been added to the Evergo/Union gallery..
I think the capacitor is pretty much gone in it.. I left it running for a while, and went back out to the garage and noticed it going a medium speed in reverse.. I thought to myself, I didn't switch it to reverse and a medium speed before leaving the garage.. I pulled the pull switch and it stayed the same speed all through the 3 speeds and the reverse switch doesn't take no effect, and the switch housing was noticeably much hotter.. I've never seen this happen, and I hope it's just the capacitor..
Video is still uploading as of this post..

Yup, it's defiantly the cap.. On the hunt for a 3 wire - 3.0/6.5k cap.. I put in a 7/14k in place before I realized the original cap is leaky, lets just say I thought the garage roof was going to fly off LOL.. So far switchco has them at $12.95 cheaper than the other place that wanted $25 plus $7 shipping.. That's what you call a leaky cap

eBay has the cheapest caps.
Evergo caps fail often!

Hey Adam, you said that the fan went into reverse without you even switching the reverse switch?? That reminded me of the Evergo in my Moms room back in the late 90s that did the same thing and it caught a fire...
