Wow that's a lot of Crompton Greaves High Breezes.
Interesting how one of the Crompton Greaves Whirlwinds have a metallic capacitor.
It's cool that you found another MEC, you haven't found one in a a while. Is it a mid 1980's version or newer?
It seems stupid that they are demolishing all these houses, they seem in good condition to me and resellable.

I also didnt expect a CG whirlwind with a metallic capacitor, it could be one of the earliest whirlwinds from the 90s
This particular model yeah, its been a while since I found one, I found many older models in the scrapyard earlier this year and last year.. based on these houses age the MEC is a replacement of one of the CG high breezes indicating that it is most probably somewhere in the 90s
I know what you mean with this.. I dont really lkke the fact that old places are wiped away in favor of new projects.. these houses r all clusters in a very old neighborhood which was built in the 70s, apparently these were the latest of the clusters.. the condition may look good based on the ceiling, but in reality they are in a bad condition, cracks at the support, and so on

My ABC/Airmaster/Whatever industrial that's basically a CG also has a metal capacitor if I remember right. Never thought that much of it until now.
Revitalization can be rather unfortunate. Time moves on, but I like to see things from the past maintained instead of demolished as well. If there's structural damage though this is understandable.

I don't have an exact date, but it had to have been there since at least the mid 90's, because for as long as I can remember (which is pretty far back) there was always one "different" fan installed in the church.

My ABC Airmaster from the 90s also has a metal cap. Metal caps are still being made, they're just more pricey.

Right, I got metal caps for the run cap on one or two early InteliTouch conversions I did before I started getting the black box ones on eBay.

I still find new fans having metal caps, the most notable brand here that still uses metal caps is khaitan

My Emerson heat fan has a metal capacitor, but other than that I've never come across a fan with one.
