Hi there, I'm new here. I have two fans I'm wondering if somebody can identify for me. media.bellacor.com.edgesuite.net/images/300/70311425-6.jpg is the first one. It was bought around 1988, is pastel blue in colour, 4 blade configuration, 3 lights. hugger mount and three pull-chains. If anybody can tell me who manufactured this or sold this particular model that would be great. The second one, I cannot even find a picture resembling it at all. It too, is of the 4 blade configuration, one chain, reverse switch, and no light. This one I speak of, is very...umm square. The motor housing is square instead of round, and is a flush mount...although it may be a dual mount and was installed flush to the ceiling. It's a 52 inch model. If anybody can think of what I might be describing that would be cool. Thanks!

The first one would probably be a jc Penney. Welcome to the site! The second one I forget what it is, but it's rare.

No JC Penny in Canada. Looks like many companies have copied this particular design. Thanks for the input.

The 2nd one looks like a Catalina Lighting "Square" to me. I remember YT user "csfandude" has one. You can still see a picture of it in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qvrNzLQ7oAAround 1:10, the left channel icon on "friends" module.

Second one is made by Builders Square. I'll see if I can dig up a pic. VERY hard to find.

Hi vteteater,
first question about the blue fan, the light kit is made with spots lights? and does it has a sticker between the switchs?

Those are they! The brass fan shown is the white fan in question (without the light kit), and the hugger mount 4 blade is the blue one I spoke of! With the 3 spot lights too!
What can you tell me now that both fans are visable?

I can tell you that the first one can be installed with a downrod, and there is a version of it with 5blades,
The other one, you said was sold by sears? I think they are from ''consumers distributing'' ...a place where you can buy via catalogues, Might also be a rebranded Canarm I know they had a model like that.

Welcome to the forums, veteater. I never knew they had vintage ceiling fans with a square motor housing. I'm trying to be an expert with vintage ceiling fans in Canada. Anyways, once again, welcome to the vintage ceiling fans forums.
