Yeah I don't think they made ALL white Sea Islands. They always had a least PB brackets and bottom plate. Adam have a box of those that tells the 4 finishes they cammed in: www.vintageceilingfans.com/nutonescovillseaislandpfm-52.htmlThe brackets on the sea Island have some kind of square shape with makes them looks a little bit Arts & Craft style also because they use teakwood blades. Those fans would looks really nice in a 1910s Arts & Crafts house with teakwood molding.

Well I know they made all brown ones, so maybe they did make all white. I've never seen one, except this one.
Do we know for sure it's painted?

I'm not sure if this was painted or not, but I'm sure that the other one I saw was all original.

Ben, what made you think this one was painted?

It looked painted, or possibly just dirty.

The blenderfans in the bowling alley are really cool. Keep an eye on them. I've never seen bowling alley fans with lights before, that is a surprise. Joel, your dad wont save old fans for you if you ask him? Electricians come across them a lot. Well after I found out that they are worth a little cash, I told him and he said he is going to call me if he ever thinks he's removing a fan that's worth money. For example, I was working with him last week, and I removed a very old GE vent fan.. I threw it out, and regret it now, because it was variable speed. I figure even if it wasn't worth much I would have messed around with another fan and made it variable speed. But anyway, he's going to keep an eye out, as will I when I work with him.

Bring all of them home. The cheap ones, salvage parts from them and sell the metal for scrap.

I'm in Virginia right now, and there's a LOT of newer Hampton Bays and Hunters. A lot more than in Connecticut. But first, what's this fan? It's not working from here. Stupid free Wifi...
Oh, I got to up up the Washington Monument!
