Not too terribly buried under fans like some of you but enough to keep me cool and only good stuff. There only the Honeywell that I don't like much but it's not like if it was cheap, I just don't like it but anyway I'm not responsible for it's purchase. Late 1970s Super 12'' 1979 Toshiba 16'' 1985 Sears 16'' (made by Super) 1992 Super 12'' 1997 Super 16'' 2001 Honeywell 16'' Pedestal 2003 Wind Chaser WindTech 360* 16'' Air Circulator The Honeywell is just a victim of the 2001 heat wave, my mother bought that, not me. The 1992 Super 12'' that's a fan that have always been around, I grew up around it. ;D Still runs like new! The Sears that's a heritage from my grand-father. With the help of a few experts (I think it was you Rob)I been able to make it live again! It now turnssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! The Wind Chaser it was my idea to buy that back in 2003. Its just pure awesomeness! Glad I got it cause they did not sold it for too long, it seems like a rare model. I still haven't seen another one like it. Actually a lot of other fans up there are the only one like it I have ever seen. Same thing for the brown Sears, I only saw the grey late 1980s Super version and the 1992 12'' Super I still haven't seen another with dark blue blades. They always have their blades grey. I would like to get this General Electric(?) but its wayyy too expansive: montreal.kijiji.ca/c-acheter-et-vendre-art-objets-a-collectionner-Antique-Electric-Fan-W0QQAdIdZ232634180

Very cool Fans guys. Jean, I love that Sears fan. Is it Gray or Brown? It's brown and the blades are not transparent brown but solid brown.

Interesting. I did not know Westpoint made portables fans. I know them for their split A/C which are some of the best, they cool very well and are extremely quiet units. Very clean, pure white and discreet units. Some of their units are basically relabeled LG units. Westpoint split A/C's are/were very popular in Chad when I was living there. I know they also made washing machines, one of my friend in N'Djamena had one. I found them online. They are from Tunisia. The split A/C you see on their site are not the same design that was all over N'Djamena in the early 2000s. They changed their designs over the years. www.westpoint.bz/index.htmlThat 12'' box fan with the rotating front grill is a very popular design world wide. We have them here with a darker tone of gray also with 5 blades labeled Fellini which are made by Sunrise. www.sunrisetradex.com/fr/component/page,shop.product_details/flypage,shop.flypage/product_id,169/category_id,74/manufacturer_id,0/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,1/ I noticed yours have the standard continental Europe plug. Don't you use UK outlets in the UAE?

in UAE, UK outlets are the dominant plugs, but since there are some things imported from other countries, the plugs aren't modified for UAE standards (which is quite annoying)..
that's one reason i always buy different types of sockets to plug in plugs (especially the european ones) for my room..

does the sticker in these state Made in Japan? as far as i kno, SANMEX (Sanyo of Mexico) made similar models. Tony T has a 9" one made by SANMEX, and i have the 12" version that you have made by SANMEX. as far as i know, soon the later models were made by SANMEX for distribution in North America to save SANYO of Japan shipping costs. if it states "Made in Mexico", it's made by SANMEX.
